Tomorrow is the day!!!

Well tomorrow is the day. At 5:30am we will be at the hospital registering and preparing for the birth of our little boy. Our c-section is scheduled at 7:30am and Dr. Swoboda said it should happen on time. I should have a baby by around 8am if all goes as planned. :)
I am excited, nervous, anxious...about so many things. I can't wait to see his little face, who is he going to look like? How big is he going to be? Just stuff like that. I can not wait to hold our little one.
My mom and I went to finish getting things we need today, we have a fun time shopping...it was a long afternoon, but we got almost everything accomlished that we set out to do. I just need to pick up some baseballs....you'll see why later! And I need to make one stop to CVS. I was glad to see there aren't many trips worth making to CVS or Walgreens this week so I don't have to worry about couponing and such. I just need to get my inserts put away from this week and concentrate on tomorrow.
Tonight we are going out to eat at Osaka's Japanese Steak House, which I am looking forward to, but just not feeling too hungry right now...glad we aren't eating for two hours. I don't plan on eating too much because I hate feeling bloated and stuffed...plus I am hoping that if I lay off on too much food I won't throw up like I did after I had Kaylie (I ate alot the night before I had her).
Anyway, well I had a great pregnancy, not as eventful as my first, but it was perfect for me. The end was a little rough as I became uncomfortable and such, but I can't believe how fast the time went by. It is amazing to think that tomorrow morning I will be able to hold my little boy in my arms and we'll be a family of 5...now that is CRAZY!

Bags are packed....

Ok so I have 2 more weeks left today until I get to see my little Baby Boy. I have been nervous up until yesterday because of thinking about the c-section. However, my thoughts have started changing and now I couldn't be any more excited or anxious to just see what my little boy looks like and to hold him. I have been reminiscing about my hospital stay with Kaylie and now just can't wait for my experience with my Little Lucas.

I had a doctor's appointment this morning and was kind of relieved to hear that not much progress is being made in the baby area. My cervix is closed, not thinning any more than last Monday and it looks like he will get here on our planned day, October 13th. My next appointment is next Thursday, and then the following Monday we are scheduled at 7:30AM!!!! That is so freakin' early, but that's ok cause the sooner the better. I just have to be there at 5:30am and that is what really sucks so I am sure I'll have to be up and getting ready at like 4am-ish and of course I won't be able to sleep the night before.

Well yesterday I recieved a few gifts from some friends at church and I wanted to share a couple of them with you...cause I LOVED them. Thanks Gretchen for the bag, I totally love it...it is already packed with Lucas' stuff for the hospital! I was going to share a bag with him, but now I have to bring this one with me....you know I am dying to know how to make one :)

Baby Shower

Sorry if you have already read this on my pregnancy blog...

Ok so I guess a few things have happened since my last posting. I had my baby shower on Saturday and it was a lot of fun. Baby Lucas got some great clothes and presents! My sister in law, Jill, did most of the planning and it turned out perfect...everything was right down to the electric blue and lime green color! I even made sure myself, Kaylie and Kendra wore coordinating colors. Kaylie wasn't going to be there, but I just happened to buy a dress for her a few weeks earlier that had the same colors, it couldn't have worked out better if I had planned it :)
I had my 36 week appointment this morning. I was totally ready for this visit with questions and wanted information on what's going on with my body. You see, I think Baby Lucas has dropped and I have never experienced that, Kaylie was breech. They called me into the room about 15 minutes later than my appointment and then right when I hear the doctors voice, she is telling one of the nurses that she has to leave to deliver a baby...she asked if I was undressed and Nurse Judi said yes...so Dr. Swaboda came in because she had to do the Strep B swap really quick. While she was doing that I quickly asked about the baby dropping and how my Braxton Hicks are getting stronger lately, so she QUICKLY checked me down there....she said I was thinning and that was about it. She said that if I start having contractions every 10 minutes in an hour then I need to call her right away. Instead of 2 weeks for my next appointment she scheduled me for next Monday, so I am thankful for that. I just don't know how to explain how I am feeling and I didn't get the chance to do that at all today and I hated that. I do understand her having to leave to deliver a baby, but last visit she wasn't even there because the same reason.
Anyway, things are ok with me as of now. I am seriously uncomfortable and feel myself getting irritated with everyone very easily. Baby Lucas is moving around everywhere and it feels so strange when his little knee or foot pokes at my side, it's just such an odd feeling. Well I will put a few pics on from the shower, enjoy!

27 weeks & tons of pics

Ok so I am back from vacation. We had a fantastic time with our family, but are happy to be home...even though the weather here is horrible. I have posted a ton of pics below, but if you have my dropshots logon you can view more there...but I am sure these pics will be enough for most of you.

As far as our little boy is concerned, things are going great. I am now 27 weeks and he is moving like a crazy boy! I love it most of the time, but there are times where it is slightly uncomfortable. Only 12 more weeks from today and he will be here. Today I had a doctor's appointment and my glucose test, nothing new to report. The glucose drink/lemon lime flavor was nasty. I thought I was going to throw up while drinking it. I made it though and the blood drawing was a success, although the nurse had to have someone else come in to do it because my veins are always so hard to see. The girls and I did hear his heartbeat, Kendra was so excited about that, it was at around 155. Here is a new belly picture :)

Well enjoy the many pics from our vacation!

21 weeks 4 days-My Appointment

Well today I had a doctors visit at 8:30AM. I will never schedule an appointment that early unless I have to. It was so hard to get out of bed today. I woke up at 4am to Kaylie joining us in bed, she is starting to sleep in her bed with Kendra. When I woke up I started to get really stuffy and congested and just straight uncomfortable. I finally got up and walked around and stuff for about 20 minutes. I finally went back to bed around 5am and it took me about an hour to fall back asleep. I was miserable, but thank goodness my Zyrtec finally kicked in and my nose was back to normal, for the most part.
I had to pick up Brody this morning instead of him coming straight here and he was not a happy boy today. He cried most of the way to the doctor's office and then the whole time we were there. Rough morning....will not be taking 3 kids to my appointments from here on out. It was too difficult and I didn't get the time I usually get with my doctor.
So my appointment was pretty quick, they wanted to get me out as quickly as possible cause of Brody screaming in the office. We heard baby boy's heart beat, it was about 148...it was so sweet, but could hardly hear it with crying in the back ground. Kaylie got excited to hear it, she loves talking about her baby boy. I made sure that Dr. Swaboda will be delivering me and she will be. She is going to schedule the delivery for 7:30am...oh my heck! I am sure that means I'll have to get up at like 5am and be there by 6am, which sucks...but I'll have my baby early in the morning. She said it also makes it so that you are less likely to get bumped from having your baby if it's busy, since I won't be in labor or anything like that.

Well I have to go lay down before I lose my mind...I need rest and some quiet time for Mommy!
Weight:122 (Total gain so far is approx. 10lbs...ouch!)

Vote

Ok so we have pretty much decided on a first name for our baby boy. It will most likely be Lucas....but we can't agree on ANY middle name for the baby. So I have taken the names I want, the names Spencer wants and a couple others and made a poll. You can only vote once, but we'd like to hear what everyone thinks... So vote, the poll is on the right side of this page and on both of our My Space accounts :)

IT'S A.....

Baby...a real super adorable baby! Today was a fun day for us. We went as a family to the ultrasound to find out the sex of this munchkin growing inside of Mommy!

So here are some pictures...

Well today was an amazing day for us in our house! We were able to go as a family to the ultrasound visit to find out what we are having (other than a baby). On my way to the office I had to pee....so bad! I had drank 32 ounces of water between 9:15 and 10:00am...I had to be done 1 hour before my appointment. Let me tell you, I have never in my entire life had to pee so stinkin' bad! So I got to the office and asked if I could pee. She said she'd check with the u/s tech. I was able to pee and I have never pee'd so long or so much ever.
Anyway, so we got there and the tech took just me back first so that she could do measurements of the baby that she needed for the doctor, she didn't want any family back yet to keep from any interuptions. That took what seemed like forever, but really like 30 minutes or so. Then she went to get my family...YAH! She had asked before if we were going to find out, I said YES! Then she asked if I wanted to wait for the whole family, and of course I did. So when they came in there was one more measurement she had to do then we looked for what the baby had between the legs!
Holy crap it was a penis! That word sounds so odd now that I am saying it, but it was there. She did make a comment that she had to check to make sure it wasn't the umbilical cord and it wasn't, Spencer saw his baby boy's package! LOL We were able to get some great pictures in 2D, but the 3D wasn't super great because I guess my placenta was in the way. She moved the probe around a little and he eventually moved, but never got a great picture...just a few ok ones. She sent me home with 10 pictures and our VHS which we brought. It was a great day! Spencer is so happy and apparently he is naming our child, I have no say in it at all. He is actually going to look at baby name books, odd! We had Kaylie's name on the way home from work the day we found out...boys are different I guess, especially when this is my husband's thunder!!! I am happy for him and our family, we sure are going to love having a sweet boy at home. I am also going to add some pics of the first items of clothing I purchased him today at Nordstroms and his first binky's!!!
Anyway, IT'S A BOY!!!!

167 Days until Baby's Birth Day!

Yes I know that is like forever away, but I have to say I am getting a little more excited. It is probably because I am really anticipating finding out the sex of our little one. My next appointment is on the 15th and hopefully they'll let me schedule for that following Thursday. They have a 3-D tech that comes in every Thursday. I am however nervous about the 3-D adventure, but I think it will be cool. Laura, my best friend, just had her 3-D done and it was really cool looking...Spencer saw the pictures and wasn't sure what it was....he was however excited the day before when I told him we were doing that. Anyway, I think it will be cool, I'll let you know when that happens.

Other than this growing baby in my belly we have some growing children at home. Kendra is continuing to do great in school, but you can tell the school year is coming to and end for her because she is liking everything a lot less. We are currently working on her last gifted project on Mexico and I know I am more excited about it than she is. She has to give a presentation to the class, write a 2 page paper, do a bibliography and 5 visuals. For the visuals I am making some Mexican food for the kids to try...I am venturing out to try to make tamales. I purchased everything for it yesterday, but now her presentation date has been changed to the 16th instead of the 5th, now I have time to test out my skills in the kitchen. Yes, you should all be worried! She also just finished up a Fantasy planet project, which is pictured below, it was alot of fun for her...she got to think up everything on her own :)

Kaylie is just the funnest little girl ever. She is a handful though and has hit the TERRIBLE TWO'S with a bang! Oh my heck does she make me tired lately, but then she has her days when she is just an angel. Today she is being great so far. I asked her to put her shoes in her room, she said "ok mom". Then I said "no Kaylie, in your room". Her reply while pointing at her shoes sitting right next to mine on the living room floor was "I did". She loves to copy everyone in this house, especially Kendra and myself. Today we worked on the letter C and it was so cute. She loves learning and wants to have school every day. I try to do the best that I can, but of course some days are a little crazy around here. Kaylie loves spending time with Daddy. He had to work the other day at home and he went in the backyard, Kaylie wasn't far behind...she wanted to be right with Daddy to help him :)

Happy Easter

Well I am sure since the lack of blogging lately; I won't be getting on again until after Easter. So...Happy Easter! Today was a fun Easter filled day for the girls. Kendra's class had an Easter party that Kaylie and I were invited to. Kaylie even got to hunt for eggs with them and she loved it. This evening Kaylie and I had a blast coloring eggs and she was upset when I had to put them in the fridge, she wanted to hold them on the couch with her while she watched TV. After coloring eggs I took her in the back yard and blew bubbles, and then she took a turn with daddy. We are so ready for Easter here, however I have forgotten to have their pictures taken, so that is for next week. Anyway, here are some pictures from today.

Other than Easter...of course there is our pregnancy! What a wonderful time to enjoy, or not if you are throwing up like I am! :) I have been throwing up every morning again like I was with Kaylie. It sucks, but it's first thing in the morning and then I usually feel fine the rest of the day. Some days are of course worse than others, but I am getting through it just fine. Sunday I'll be 10 weeks already, it is going much faster than my pregnancy with Kaylie, I am happy for that! Anyway, for more details on my pregnancy, I am blogging more often on my pregnancy blog.... http://www.babycrowd.com/jr/online/eatingfortwo/.

I had my first doctor's appointment yesterday (March 20) and I was surprised with an early ultrasound and got to see our little baby. It was so exciting and I loved every moment of it, I couldn't stop smiling when she was going to get the u/s machine...my last doctor didn't have that at their office. It wasn't the most fantastic picture, but it was amazing none the less.
