Vote

Ok so we have pretty much decided on a first name for our baby boy. It will most likely be Lucas....but we can't agree on ANY middle name for the baby. So I have taken the names I want, the names Spencer wants and a couple others and made a poll. You can only vote once, but we'd like to hear what everyone thinks... So vote, the poll is on the right side of this page and on both of our My Space accounts :)

IT'S A.....

Baby...a real super adorable baby! Today was a fun day for us. We went as a family to the ultrasound to find out the sex of this munchkin growing inside of Mommy!

So here are some pictures...

Well today was an amazing day for us in our house! We were able to go as a family to the ultrasound visit to find out what we are having (other than a baby). On my way to the office I had to pee....so bad! I had drank 32 ounces of water between 9:15 and 10:00am...I had to be done 1 hour before my appointment. Let me tell you, I have never in my entire life had to pee so stinkin' bad! So I got to the office and asked if I could pee. She said she'd check with the u/s tech. I was able to pee and I have never pee'd so long or so much ever.
Anyway, so we got there and the tech took just me back first so that she could do measurements of the baby that she needed for the doctor, she didn't want any family back yet to keep from any interuptions. That took what seemed like forever, but really like 30 minutes or so. Then she went to get my family...YAH! She had asked before if we were going to find out, I said YES! Then she asked if I wanted to wait for the whole family, and of course I did. So when they came in there was one more measurement she had to do then we looked for what the baby had between the legs!
Holy crap it was a penis! That word sounds so odd now that I am saying it, but it was there. She did make a comment that she had to check to make sure it wasn't the umbilical cord and it wasn't, Spencer saw his baby boy's package! LOL We were able to get some great pictures in 2D, but the 3D wasn't super great because I guess my placenta was in the way. She moved the probe around a little and he eventually moved, but never got a great picture...just a few ok ones. She sent me home with 10 pictures and our VHS which we brought. It was a great day! Spencer is so happy and apparently he is naming our child, I have no say in it at all. He is actually going to look at baby name books, odd! We had Kaylie's name on the way home from work the day we found out...boys are different I guess, especially when this is my husband's thunder!!! I am happy for him and our family, we sure are going to love having a sweet boy at home. I am also going to add some pics of the first items of clothing I purchased him today at Nordstroms and his first binky's!!!
Anyway, IT'S A BOY!!!!

So much going on!!!

Well as you can see I haven't written for a little while. I have been meaning to, but from this post you'll see I haven't had much time to do so! We have been very busy in this house doing everything from projects in school to taking care of the baby in my belly...LOL.

At the beginning of this month I went on a field trip with Kendra to the Science Museum here in Orlando, it was a lot of fun and I'm glad I had the chance to go with her.
Kendra and I have also been very busy preparing for her Mexico presentation that she did for class last Friday. It was busy work for me...I made homemade tamales, which turned out great! Then I made tostadas and Tres Leche for the whole class. It was yummy and the whole class actually loved the food, I was worried at first because it was different to most of them, but a ton of them wanted seconds. Kendra did such a great job and today she had the chance to be interviewed by her principal on the school's morning news. Here are the videos of her presentation and her interview this morning.
Well I can't get the presentation on here, but here is the interview at least.

As for Kaylie, well you all know she is keeping me busy non stop. Oh my heck, but I love it. I love that we are able to have so much fun at our house and try to keep our sanity at the same time. We may have moments of craziness, but they are over quickly and the fun times mean much more!

Kaylie naps anywhere when she is tired...anywhere! I recently found her on the computer chair, which is very small, taking a nap...naked!
Oh yes, Kaylie is getting more hair! She has enough so that I was able to french braid the top and do piggie tails! She tells everyone "I'm Two!", while holding up 1 finger :) It used to be 4 fingers, so she's getting closer. She definitely has her own sense of style. She is actually picky about what she wears sometimes and cries if she doesn't like it (Mom...does this ring any bells with you?) I guess you never realize what a pain it is until you go through it yourself. I mean, I don't mind that she wants to pick what she is going to wear, but at times I wish she would just not be difficult and wear what I want!
Happy Mother's Day Mom's...very belated! I had a great Mother's Day with Spencer and Kaylie. Saturday afternoon, Spencer took Kaylie shopping for my present, which is not in yet. He got me a ring with Kendra, Kaylie and the baby's birthstones on it. I can't wait to get it. It was mostly Kendra's idea for me to get it, so it means something even more. I'll take a pic when I get it, I think the colors will go together great (pink, purple and blue!!!) Sunday we had a picnic with Spencer's family at the park and had a great time. It was hot and nasty outside, but hey we live in Florida...it's pretty much expected! Kaylie helped me make the cupcakes, she was actually the one that wanted the cupcakes...that girl LOVES frosting!

This weekend we had some special visitors at our house. Josh and Lisa came by before they headed to their new location in Arizona. We sure are going to miss them being so close to us, but at least we get to see them in July at the family reunion. I meant to take more pictures, but forgot of course. I did get a couple of Kaylie and Lisa having a tea party yesterday morning before church...it was way cute!!
However, one of the most exciting parts of the trip was about Kendra. Lisa cut her hair, over 10" and she did a great job! It was only the 2nd or 3rd time Lisa had done this style of hair cut, but she did fantastic! Kendra loves it and was so excited for all of her friends to see it at school today!

BEFORE!

AFTER!!

Stay tuned...we find out what we are having this week!!!
