Mom and Sister Visit

My mom arrived here on Saturday before Lucas arrived. It was so great having her here to take care of me and my family. On Sunday we were able to run some last minute errands so that everything would be taken care of before Lucas was born. Then Monday until Wednesday when we got home she took care of Kaylie and Kendra. The girls had such a great time with her. We came home from the hospital on Wednesday at noon and were more than happy to be home. Hospital life is just boring as heck when you have children at home you also want to be with.

Thursday my sister arrived and Friday night Spencer, Mom, Kristi and Kaylie went to Disney...so I was home alone with Lucas, I really enjoyed my time with him. Then Saturday they all went again and Kendra was here that day, but Spencer had to work. That night we went to Bubba Gumps and ate dinner at City Walk. I think I did a bit much my first week, but I don't see my family that often so it was worth it.

My mom and sister, Kristi both left this morning. It was so hard to have them both leave at the same time. I hate living so far from then and just hope there is a day that we eventually live closer to one another. Which would probably mean Spencer & I moving out west...something we would love to do, but wouldn't happen for at least 9-10 years, if it did. Such is life, but I am happy here in Florida...just miss my family a TON!!!

Here are some great pics from my mom and Kristi's trip... Love you guys, can't wait to see you again. Thanks for everything you did while you were here, I really appreciate it. xoxo

Well since Spencer's card reader isn't working I had to wait for my mom to upload some pics from my house last night. I☺ don't have too many, but at least you get to see my sweet Baby Lucas! I'll write more later, he is about to eat again, he is nursing like a champ!! I'll post more pics this afternoon.

Lucas Brock Meadows is here...

My baby boy, Lucas Brock, arrived into this world this morning at 7:59am weighing 7 pounds and 19 inches long.He is a wonderful baby boy and I am so lucky to have such a healthy and sweet baby boy.

My c-section went wonderfully, except for the throwing up part. I threw up 2 times during surgery and then I've thrown up about 4 or 5 times since then. It isn't too bad, but throwing up always stinks.

Lucas is such a quiet and content baby....he has hardly cried at all...so far! I will post pics as soon as I can, but I didn't realize Spencer's card reader on his laptop wasn't working...so my mom is posting some and then I'll add them to my site. Stay tuned!!

Tomorrow is the day!!!

Well tomorrow is the day. At 5:30am we will be at the hospital registering and preparing for the birth of our little boy. Our c-section is scheduled at 7:30am and Dr. Swoboda said it should happen on time. I should have a baby by around 8am if all goes as planned. :)
I am excited, nervous, anxious...about so many things. I can't wait to see his little face, who is he going to look like? How big is he going to be? Just stuff like that. I can not wait to hold our little one.
My mom and I went to finish getting things we need today, we have a fun time shopping...it was a long afternoon, but we got almost everything accomlished that we set out to do. I just need to pick up some baseballs....you'll see why later! And I need to make one stop to CVS. I was glad to see there aren't many trips worth making to CVS or Walgreens this week so I don't have to worry about couponing and such. I just need to get my inserts put away from this week and concentrate on tomorrow.
Tonight we are going out to eat at Osaka's Japanese Steak House, which I am looking forward to, but just not feeling too hungry right now...glad we aren't eating for two hours. I don't plan on eating too much because I hate feeling bloated and stuffed...plus I am hoping that if I lay off on too much food I won't throw up like I did after I had Kaylie (I ate alot the night before I had her).
Anyway, well I had a great pregnancy, not as eventful as my first, but it was perfect for me. The end was a little rough as I became uncomfortable and such, but I can't believe how fast the time went by. It is amazing to think that tomorrow morning I will be able to hold my little boy in my arms and we'll be a family of 5...now that is CRAZY!
xoxo,
Katie
