Disney World!

I can't believe I am writing in my blog again this month...hopefully I can keep up like this. I wanted to at least write something since we will be gone this weekend. We are going on Spencer's company trip this weekend to Port Orleans Disney Resort. I am really looking forward to a little time to relax.

Anyway so the reason I am writing...we got Annual passes to Disney World, all 4 parks, the 2 water parks and a couple other places. So we took Kaylie to Magic Kingdom for the first time on Wednesday night. She loved it! I didn't get the best pictures, but here are the ones that are the cutest.

Here is Kaylie on the tram on the way to Magic Kingdom...she has no clue what's going on!

It's been a WHILE!

Ok for those faithful reader I am really sorry that I haven't been writing in my blog. I don't really have a great excuse other than I have been crazy busy and just want to rest and not type when I am not doing anything. So here is a short version of what we have been up to since December 10th...when I wrote last. Gosh that I forever ago.

Well, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year (very belated). Things are going great at home. Christmas was a ton of fun, Kaylie & Kendra got plenty of toys. Spencer & the girls got me a new diamond wedding band, I was very happy about that, totally unexpected. And Spencer really didn't want us spending a lot on him because of that so we just got him so dvd's and stuff. Next year will be his big year and we'll of course get him something good for his birthday. I won't go into detail about what the girls got, but they were very happy to say the least. I am sure you have all seen pictures on my dropshots.

As for the New Year, Spencer almost set Kaylie on fire with a firework...but we got lucky...well HE GOT LUCKY and she was not harmed, but we all learned a good lesson. Don't throw fireworks in the air, especially when windy!

Let's start with Spencer...he is still working in Louisiana a few days a week and that isn't always fun for the girls at home. We really miss him and look forward to him being back home most of the time. I know he will always be a bit of a traveler, but we really love him being at home more. He is also very busy getting back into shape and is doing a great job working out 5 days a week..sometimes 6.
I have been busy with the girls. I am now the Secretary in Primary and am loving that calling. It has kept me a little busy and on my toes during the week to make sure I have things ready on Sunday. I love being in Primary with Kendra. Spencer is such a great help on these days, Kaylie is usually with him for the 2nd hour and sometimes the 3rd or she comes to Primary with me for the 3rd...when she is usually worn out and ready for her nap. I have also been helping in Kendra's class a lot more and I really love it. They actually made me the Room Mom in December and they call on me more often now.

Now for Little Kendra. She is such a smart wonderful girl. I can't tell you how proud we are of the things she has accomplished in 1st grade so far. She is doing great with her accelerated reading and earned about 14 points last quarter and made a goal of 15 for this quarter, which I think she will exceed. Kendra is also doing ballet on Fridays after school and is preparing for her recital in May/June. We just saw the costumes and they are beautiful, they are going to look like peacocks! She is also going to be starting ballroom dancing the second week in February, my sis-in-law Jill is going to be her teacher and I am really looking forward to that and so is Kendra. Oh & she celebrated her 7th birthday last month and had a party at her mom's house...it was a lot of fun! She also had her first visit to the dentist and it went great, no cavitites! She just might have to get 2 teeth pulled because 2 permenant teeth are growing in quicker than they should be...like 4 years quicker!

And Little Kaylie...where do I start? Well she is now walking...everywhere! It is so freakin' cute! She started carrying this doll around the house that my grandma Rasmusson made for her, it is funny. She started screaming today because it got stuck and she couldn't get it from under the couch. We will be celebrating her first birthday 2 weeks from today and I still can't believe it. I sent out invitations the other day and are planning her birthday party at the playground. I just ordered her cake today and can't wait for her party. But of course I can wait for her to be 1, that just means she is getting older....I miss having a little baby. But I do have to say it just gets more & more fun every day. She has been saying mommy and daddy for a while now, but she can now say bye-bye and recently has starting saying no-no (she's heard that alot lately with getting into the DVD's and playing with the VCR & DVD player). Sometimes she will just try to copy what I say and tries to say; thank you and please. She is still our tiny little girl, I weighed her last night and she weighs 15 pounds 9 ounces...only 3 more ounces from when she was 9 months old. I tracked her weight on the chart and she falls below the 3rd %tile. We'll see what the doctor says at her 1 year appointment.

My mom & Brother Ryan are going to be joining us in Florida for Boogie's first birthday and we can't wait to see them. We are all so excited, especially me & Kendra. I entered Kaylie in Regis & Kelly's Beautiful Baby Search, I had a lot of people suggest it, but we were planning on doing it anyway. I also entered her in the Cute Kid contest at www.thecutekid.com just for fun.

Gosh I don't know what else to write at this moment, I have a ton of pictures on drop shots...so take a look at those. www.dropshots.com/katiemeadows password kaylie. But here are some of my favorite pictures.

I'll try to write at least twice a month...hopefully more. Loves, Katie
