Meadows Coupons
Ok so recently our family (and Spencer's mom, some of his sisters and his brother) have started using coupons to save us some money. I went to purchase Kendra's school supplies and some other things and ended up saving 50% on my total purchase, literally!
Well in Walgreen's July Easy Saver Coupon book they had a coupon for $5 off 2 packages of Walgreen's brand diapers (which were on sale for $5.99), they also had a deal if you bought 3 of a certain item they you'd get a $5 off your next purchase Register Reward....well August had the same $5 off coupon and the dates overlapped...and I had a coupon book from the pharmacy that had $2 off their diapers.
To try it out I purchased 3 packages of Walgreen's diapers along with some other purchases and I got my $5 off coupon. Well I asked if she minded if I went to grab 3 more and she didn't have a problem with that at all. I grabbed 3 more and she scanned my coupons, but forgot to scan the pharmacy one which was an additional $6 off, but my total was -$0.86 so I bought something else and had to pay a couple cents extra.
Anyway this evening I went back to purchase more diapers and some pull ups for Kaylie for night time and I scored even bigger. I ended up getting 9 more packs of diapers, 3 packs of pull ups and did it in 4 separate transactions using it correctly adding a box of wipes each time to make so that I didn't have to get a refund back and got a good deal on Huggies wipes, cause that is the only type of wipes I use.
Long story a little shorter, I ended the day with 15 packs of diapers, 3 packs of pull ups, 4 boxes of wipes and only spent less than $4 in all my purchases on baby items. That is a freakin' deal if I have ever heard one. And on top of that I now have 4 $5 off coupons to use on a later purchase, but before Aug. 8.
The total I spend on things at Walgreens today (I bought things other than diapers and wipes...LOL) was $23.89 and the total I saved in coupons and sales was $171.40!!! You do the math, but I got a few things for free today!!!
Now not all Walgreen's will take more than 1 coupon for an item and something else, but it worked for me, my sister in law and mother in law at several different Walgreen's. The last Walgreen's I went to though didn't want me to use more than 1 coupon at a time, so I left and didn't purchase from them. The one place that worked though, the lady told me to come back tomorrow after noon when they had already recieved a shipment and I could get some more :)
Here is a lovely pic of my husbands closet where I will be storing the diapers and wipes :) I also have about 280 diapers under our armoir that I bought at Target on clearance! My sister in law and I will either be trading sizes or I have to go back to Walgreens and exchange after the baby is born. Let's just hope these are good diapers :) I am going to test one on Brody when he's here next week....we'll see!

Today my friend Tracie, who was also Kendra's 1st grade teacher, came by with her 10 week old baby girl, Ava Claire. She was so sweet and such a great baby the whole time. We really enjoyed her visit and can't wait to see her again. Here are some cute pics from today!
Ok so I am back from vacation. We had a fantastic time with our family, but are happy to be home...even though the weather here is horrible. I have posted a ton of pics below, but if you have my dropshots logon you can view more there...but I am sure these pics will be enough for most of you.
As far as our little boy is concerned, things are going great. I am now 27 weeks and he is moving like a crazy boy! I love it most of the time, but there are times where it is slightly uncomfortable. Only 12 more weeks from today and he will be here. Today I had a doctor's appointment and my glucose test, nothing new to report. The glucose drink/lemon lime flavor was nasty. I thought I was going to throw up while drinking it. I made it though and the blood drawing was a success, although the nurse had to have someone else come in to do it because my veins are always so hard to see. The girls and I did hear his heartbeat, Kendra was so excited about that, it was at around 155. Here is a new belly picture :) .JPG)
