Maternity Pics

Well I don't think I've updated my blog lately. I have been very busy since I stopped babysitting...which seems odd. I have been running around trying to get so many things done. I now have less than 5 weeks before our little boy arrives and we are super excited to meet him. My mom arrives the night before and then my sister, Kristi, will be here that Thursday after. Then my dad is coming for his second visit to Florida (first visit was for my wedding) and he will be here for a week and we get to have him here for Halloween. I am way excited about that.

As for being pregnant, well it is what it is. Discomfort, tiredness, irritability, joy, excitement...you name it!! I am getting quite big, but I love it (when it isn’t causing me great pain). I am about to leave to take Kaylie to the doctor and I know the 45 minute drive is going to kill me.

Yesterday a friend of mine, Renee, took my maternity pictures. It was a lot of fun actually. I have never been able to do something like that anywhere besides a photo studio in Target or JCP. They turned out really good, Renee did a great job. Check out her website, my pictures are posted on there also J Here are some of my favorite pictures that were taken. I did purchase the whole CD of pictures from here and I’ll be getting that today and can’t wait to see all of them. I have to pick one of them for her to print as an 8x10 and I don’t know which one I’m picking yet…any suggestions would be great.

Well I have to get a few things done before I head out, but I want to apologize in advance for my lack of posting…I don’t know how often I’ll be able to do that in the next 5 weeks, but I’ll try as much as I can. I’m sure most of you just want to see pictures of the baby boy, which we have named Lucas Brock Meadows….I can’t wait to see him either J

xoxo,

Katie

Expect the Unexpected

Spencer and I are expecting a new addition to our family in October. I am not very far along, but I am so tired already. No other symptoms yet, thank goodness. For those who knew me while I was pregnant with Kaylie, I was sick and throwing up for 5 months straight every single day. I am hoping this pregnancy doesn't head in this direction, but if so it would be every bit worth it! Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know, I will also be blogging on a baby journal...

By the end of the first month after conception, a simple functioning circulatory system has developed in the embryo. The spinal cord is closed and the embryo is 1/6 inch long (4mm). At the end of the second month the cardiac valves and four chambers of the heart are established and functioning. Nervous system development has begun, and so has motor activity. In month three, the fetus jerks its body and flexes its tiny legs and arms. Weight is 3/4 ounce (21 grams), about the same as a letter.
